The Federal Public Defender is an approved provider of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. Training is offered throughout the year on various topics including federal court trial and habeas practice for both Northern and Southern Nevada. Counsel are appointed to the CJA panel for a one year probationary term. Upon reappointment attorneys then serve for a term of three years and can be reappointed for subsequent terms. To become a member of the panel, counsel must be qualified to practice in the district, and must submit an application for review by the CJA committee.
